imagin holds steady in second place, showing solid performance. A slight edge on iOS suggests enhanced usability or features tailored to Apple devices. - Revolut

⚠️ Flop 3 Banking Apps – April 2025
- ActivoBank
Android Rating: 2.17
iOS Rating: 4.00
Ranking Change: ↓1 (Android)
Despite a respectable iOS rating, ActivoBank’s Android score plummets to just 2.17, dragging it to the bottom of the list. This split may point to issues specific to the Android app, such as bugs or performance lags. - Bnext – Tu cuenta sin banco
Android Rating: 2.54
iOS Rating: 4.11
Ranking Change: ↑1 (Android)
Bnext climbs slightly on Android, though still sits near the bottom. Like ActivoBank, the discrepancy between platforms suggests a need for parity in app quality or feature rollout. - Openbank – banca móvil
Android Rating: 3.73
iOS Rating: 4.27
Ranking Change: ↔ (0)
While its ratings are not alarmingly low, Openbank rounds out the Flop 3 due to strong competition above it. Its iOS version remains solid, but Android performance could use improvements to break out of the bottom ranks.
This month’s Flop 3 is marked by sharp rating gaps between Android and iOS, suggesting uneven development attention or performance issues that Android users are feeling more acutely.
📊 Final Thoughts
April 2025’s benchmark reinforces two trends: digital-first banks continue to shine at the top, and platform consistency remains key to customer satisfaction. Apps like Ruralvía and Revolut are excelling by delivering balanced experiences on both Android and iOS. Meanwhile, the Flop 3 apps should prioritize closing the experience gap between platforms to improve their standing.
Stay tuned for next month’s benchmark as we continue to track who’s winning—and who’s slipping—in Spain’s mobile banking race.
